Getting started with Jack

Sign in, choose your AI apps and start working with your first coworker.

Sign in and choose your experience

Install and open Jack on your computer. Jack starts its Runtime for you; if setup fails, use Try again on the setup screen. Sign-in is required even on Free.

  1. Select Sign in and finish in the browser. Return to Jack when the browser confirms you are signed in. If needed, use Open again; Cancel returns to the sign-in screen.
  2. Choose your AI experience in About you. This changes the words and detail Jack shows. You can change it later in Settings → AI experience.
  3. Accept the Pro trial offer to continue through checkout, or choose Continue with Free. Free uses one AI engine.

Choose an AI app and your first project

In AI apps, install and sign in to at least one engine, then select it before continuing. Pro, including its trial, can select several. Signing in to Jack does not sign you in to the AI provider.

  1. Choose a suggested project folder or use Choose another folder. A project is a folder on this computer; adding it shares that folder with its coworkers.
  2. You can Skip the project step. This creates no project and keeps your first coworker personal.
  3. Give your first coworker a name and role, then start its interview. Explain how you work, your standards and hard limits. With a project, its project briefing follows the interview.

Start your first chat

After training, select Start a chat and describe one piece of work and the result you want. Add files with + or paste links into your message. Read any approval request before answering. Needs you gathers requests and unfinished training in one place.

If you quit during setup, Jack returns to the first unfinished step next time. If sign-in fails, use Try again; finish account setup in the desktop app before trying the browser or relay.
