Coworkers and projects

Add a project folder, train a coworker and brief it on your work.

Add a project

A project is a folder on your computer. Use New project, choose a recent folder or Choose another folder, and select the folder containing the work. Adding it grants Jack and its engines access to work there.

Select the project name in the sidebar to see its description, coworkers, recent chats, schedules and hard limits. The chevron only expands or collapses its sidebar row.

Create and train a coworker

A coworker is an AI teammate with a name, role, instructions, memory and trained tasks. The app may call it a teammate or agent according to your AI experience setting.

  1. Use Add coworker on a project, then Create a new coworker. Enter a name and role and choose where it will work.
  2. Complete the main interview about your work, tasks, standards and hard limits. Until it finishes, project choices are retained but membership is not added.
  3. Finish the project briefing: a short chat that teaches the coworker about this project. Add the documents it needs with +.
  4. Start a chat from the project or coworker profile. To add an existing coworker elsewhere, finish its main interview first; Resume interview returns to unfinished training.

Personal work and project removal

A coworker with no project can work in personal chats. Its profile offers New personal chat; project briefings teach only the project they belong to.

Archive project hides it and pauses its participation in scheduling; restore it from Settings → Archived projects. Remove from Jack removes its Jack records, chats, schedules and memberships after confirmation. The folder and its files remain on disk.
