Set up AI engines
Install, sign in to and choose the AI apps your coworkers use.
Install and sign in
Jack works with Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor and OpenCode installed on your computer. Your Jack account and each provider’s account are separate.
- Open Settings → AI engines. Use Add an engine to find another AI app.
- Select Install when it is missing and follow the setup instructions. If Jack opens the vendor’s page, finish installation there and return to Jack.
- Use Log in for that engine and complete its sign-in. Select the engine so Jack can use it. At least one selected engine must be ready.
Choose which engine works
Free keeps one engine; Use instead switches to another ready engine. Pro allows several. Jack only chooses among engines enabled in Settings; signing in alone does not enable one.
Let Jack choose is the default for a coworker. To choose a specific engine or model, open the coworker’s Advanced tab. Engine default lets the engine choose its model. Changing the engine clears the previous model choice.
When an engine is not ready
Open Health from the foot of desktop Settings and use Check again for fresh diagnostics. If installation finished but Jack cannot find the engine, check again after setup completes. Log in again if the provider session expired.
The chat’s engine picker can continue the same chat on another eligible selected engine. On a usage limit, Jack tries another eligible engine automatically while keeping the chat and work. If none is available, enable and sign in to an engine in Settings or retry after the provider’s limit resets. Free keeps its one-engine restriction.
