Approvals and Needs you

Review requests, answer questions and find work waiting for you.

Review an approval

An approval explains what the coworker wants to do and shows a preview. Open Show details for the tool input. Approve allows the request; Decline (Deny at higher experience levels) refuses it. Tell the coworker what to do instead declines with your instructions.

The same request appears in its chat and Needs you. Answering in one place clears it in the other. A helper’s Open chat leads to that helper’s conversation.

Work through Needs you

Open Needs you at the top of the sidebar. It gathers approvals, questions, to-dos, blocked saves, waiting merges and unfinished training. For a question with answer controls, choose or type your answer and Send. An approval for a question only grants permission; follow its hint and reply in the chat.

For a to-do outside Jack, use Mark done with an optional note or files, or Dismiss with a reason. Work to save offers Save, See the changes and Later. Training offers Continue training.

Results contains finished task runs. Open a result to read its chat or dismiss it. Results do not add to the waiting count.

Hard limits and acting without asking

Tell your coworker the rules it must follow in training or a project briefing. The project page lists hard limits and offers Add limits in a chat and Ask to change.

Settings → Advanced contains Let coworkers act without asking, off by default. Read its confirmation before enabling it. Hard limits still apply. Reads within a shared project and work in the coworker’s own folders can already proceed without a prompt.
